Did you see any people who had been caught up in the attacks? From what I can tell it seems most of them went South or South East, even though that was down-wind of the towers. Could you tell if any dust/smoke made it that far North on the day (it seems not).

To be fair, John was sort of rambling and was the reason for the topic being drawn out 😂 he could’ve just answered the question with a short and sweet compliment. John is so genuine , I could listen to him all day long. I love this man.

I get so stoked seeing his ascension to good health and spirits.

At the time of this recording, John had already cemented himself as the guitarist of RHCP. As far as the rest of the world was concerned, there was no one else. Even their discography at this point showed that. Yet, he still talks about himself as though he’s almost a stand in for Hillel. What a humble dude. Many musicians talk about how “they’re in it for the music”. Few are as sincere as John. The dude couldn’t care any less about becoming famous. He just wants to make good music.
